Sunday, April 9, is Easter - one of the more celebrated Christian holidays besides Christmas. Different cultures around the globe honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ by observing the week with Palm Sunday, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and Lent, and finally with Easter Sunday. A wide range of festive customs happen from carrying saints in a procession to stations of the cross (when a devotee carries a wooden cross) to attending church. In America, families also decorate eggs then hide them for kids to find and gather. Every year, the White House holds an annual Easter Egg Roll that’s so popular that families have to buy a ticket lottery for a chance to hunt for Easter eggs with the President and First Lady.
This year, we’d like to share our enthusiasm for Easter by offering our in-house collection of holiday-inspired art along with traditional religious icons. Give them as a gift to enhance a friend’s home or to decorate an office. Each image can be printed on ceramic tiles, wall art on canvas, mugs, and clothing. Look for our personal favorite, Lady of Guadalupe (La Virgen de Guadalupe) and the the playful side of Easter with cute bunnies.
